Definition Of Credibility

I want to start of by saying before i get started that i am a New Orleans Saints fan, if you cut me open I bleed black and gold and have all my life, but what i am about to write about actually concerns the Detroit Lions. I know!!I know!! Please don't hit the x hear me out. Now as we all know the lions define losing and have for most of of this decade none more glaring than being the only 0-16 team in NFL history but the problem i have is not with the team but with the man who was responsible for running the team and that is Matt Millen. Millen who was a pretty good player in his day and was a very good commentator for the NFL on Fox part of that great commentary is what got him hired in 2001 as the president of the team. As my good friend and resident lions fan Terrence Johnson would say this was the beginning of the end in Detroit. Millen made the lions a football laughingstock numerous draft pick busts: Joey Harrington,Mike Williams,Charles Rogers etc, their record under his watch was 31-84 from 2001-08. Now seeing as i am not a fan of the lions you must be asking why do i give a damn, well i'll tell you the fact that after he was fired by the lions he was hired by NBC to help with their Super Bowl coverage, then after that we was hired by ESPN to work on Monday Night Football, then in addtion to that the NFL network hired him to work on their Thursday Night Football. Which begs the question why? why is this man who has proven himself incompetent to run a pro team but is credible enough to to provide objective credible analysis on the very thing he failed so miserably at is on my TV every week. What are his credentials? When the telecasts come on and they are naming off the various personalities it sounds something like this: (Announcer) we are joined by Super Bowl champ Keyshawn Johnson,Hall of Famer Steve Young, and Matt Millen..... what they really want to say is the idiot jabroni who built the only 0-16 team in the NFL history.Bottom line is this guy should not have any job on tv that has anything to do with football what does it say for the networks that have hired this man? He has 0 credibilty and it brings down the broadcasts. When Steve Young talks i listen, when Tom Jackson talks i listen, when millen talks i tune him out currently as of writing this my saints are 7-0 and if he says we have a chance to go far it makes me think we actually are terrible or if he says a player is a bad draft pick it doesnt matter because his words carry no weight at all. In closing Matt Millen needs to be off tv and at home watching because thats the only thing he has credibility to do. FIRE MILLEN!!!
